HOLDING FIRMLY TO THE WORD OF LIFE
The Word of Life is Christ (John 1:1-4). To hold firmly to God's word means to believe or to have faith in the word of God by obeying and behaving according to it (Phil 2:16). HOW TO HOLD FIRMLY TO GOD'S WORD. 1. Know who you are and dare to be different (Dan 1:8). 2. Turn away from sin and wickedness (2 Tim 2:19, 1 John 3:7). 3. Be holy as the one who called you (1 Pet 1:15). 4. Don't follow the crowd to sin (Jer 9:4-6). 5. You need not to be corrupted (Rom 12:2, 1 John 2:15-17). 6. Love the Lord with all your heart, mind, soul and strength (Deut 6:5, Matt 22:37). 7. Attend church programs and meetings regularly (Heb 10:25). 8. Worship God in truth and in spirit (John 4:23-24). 9. Love your neighbor as yourself (Gal 4:15). 10. Meditate on the word of God day and night (Jos 1:8). 11.
